CONNECTING SOMERSET
I have been a Business Adviser on the Connecting Somerset project since it began in early 2005. I have been providing businesses in Somerset with free and impartial IT advice, running events, etc. I have also had the opportunity to add and extend my knowledge/experience in the fields of website development and databases.
Website development
has recently included the introduction of a booking system for the Technology Programme (excluding the credit card side)
using MySQL/PHP www.connectingsomerset.co.uk/technologyprogramme.php
Database development has been in the form of moving most of the reports that I had developed for the project using Excel and VBA into a more centralized and purpose built CRM allowing a better flow of information, capturing and reporting of information and a reduction of issues. This was developed using MS Access 2003 and enables all users to access via the intranet.
